Rain is possible through the early afternoon hours across the KVOE listening area Thursday.
Already, we have seen a lot of rain at the KVOE studios just since midnight. The running total is currently 2 inches after we picked up around 0.20 inches Wednesday and 0.60 inches Tuesday. Other area totals:
*Emporia Municipal Airport: 0.33 inches Thursday, 0.02 inches Wednesday
*East Emporia: 1.1 inches
*Southeast Emporia: 1.6 inches
*West Emporia: 3.5 inches Thursday
*Allen: 0.60 inches
*Bushong: 2.5 inches
*Between Hartford and Olpe: 0.30 inches
*Lebo: 0.25 inches
*Neosho Rapids: 0.40 inches
Rivers are coming up, but all area gauges are well below flood stage at this time. However, Lyon County has announced two road closures that are now active:
*Road G at 160; at 170
Showers and storms should be ending by early afternoon Thursday and may redevelop overnight. More isolated to scattered showers and storms are possible through the middle of next week. We’ll keep you updated on KVOE and KVOE.com.
