Soggy grounds didn’t deter people from attending the Emporia Municipal Band’s Fourth of July concert on Thursday night.
The band performed at Fremont Park despite some isolated standing water after over 3 inches of rain in Emporia earlier in the day, and they treated folks attending the show to a number of patriotic favorites.
Other selections included “National Emblem,” “Star Spangled Spectacular,” “American Patrol” and “Stars and Stripes Forever.”
