It was a rough night for the Emporia A American Legion baseball team Monday night in their final tune up before zone tournament play begins. The Post 5 Juniors were swept by Garnett in a doubleheader.
Garnett won game 1 15-4, putting the game out of reach with a 8 run 4th inning.
Garnett won the 2nd game 10-0. The Emporia A Legion will take a 12-15 record into zone tournament play. Post 5 will be hosting the zone tournament beginning Saturday.
The Emporia Senior American Legion team was scheduled to host the Wichita Aviators in a doubleheader Tuesday night, the Aviators canceled the games. The Post 5 seniors have scheduled a 9 inning game with Garnett for Wednesday night 7pm at Sodens Grove.
