From attendance to demonstrations and even the venue, the 2019 Hart-Parr Oliver Collectors Association (HPOCA) annual summer show was one for the history books.
This is the feeling of site host Dale Delong who opened up his property this past weekend to host the annual event. According to Delong, the number of tractors they had on hand exceeded expectations immensely.
On top of the various machines on hand for residents to admire, Delong says the field demonstrations which took place each day also made quite the impression. The numerous demonstrations included wheat threshing, hay baling, wheat binding and combine harvesting using antique equipment.
Delong says this is an attraction unique to this year’s show.
Delong says not only did all of the activities and attendance make this a special year for the HPOCA, but it also marked the 30th anniversary for the organization. Delong says he was honored to be the host for this year’s show and though he’s looking forward to taking a little break, he says it is something he may be open to hosting again down the road.
