The Emporia Energy will be playing in the championship game of the USA Softball 18-C State tournament Sunday.
The Energy run ruled both the Blue 14-2 and Motley Crue 16-0 Saturday to improve to 3-0 in the tournament.
Kaylee Thomas was 6 for 6 at the plate and drove in a combined 8 runs to lead the Energy offense.
The Energy will play either Motley Crue or Clay Center Bs in the championship game beginning at 1:30 at the Trusler Sports Complex.
