2018 data will be the focal point when the Kansas Farm Management Association is having its Northeast Summary Meeting in Emporia on Thursday evening.
Lyon County Extension ag agent Brian Rees will have a presentation on “What Figures are Important to Your Banker.” He says there is certain paperwork bankers need these days as they determine creditworthiness for various loans.
Looking at the current status of agriculture, Rees says there is a wide range of crop conditions after around 30 inches of rain this spring and summer. And you don’t have to go far to find the full range.
The Farm Management Association consists of ag producers that pay dues and then work with K-State Research and Extension on financial, ag production and other sets of records as a comparison to other producers. Information is kept confidential as K-State develops different benchmarks for producers across Kansas.
The meeting is at 6:30 pm at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building. Besides the Rees presentation, Kansas Farm Management Association economist Chelsea Plummer will present the overall summary data with an emphasis on Lyon and Chase county operations.
