The Kansas City Royals routed the Chicago White Sox 11-0 Tuesday night.
Glenn Sparkman tossed a complete game 5 hit shutout. He also had a career high 8 strikeouts.
Whit Merrifield hit an inside the park home run scoring 2 runs. It was the 100th inside the park home run in Royals history. Hunter Dozier added a 2 run home run.
Adalberto Mondesi did leave the game in the 5th inning with a shoulder injury. An update of his status is expected today.
The Royals and White Sox play again Wednesday night with Danny Duffy on the mound for the Royals. First pitch is set for 7:15p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
The Royals have placed Adalberto Mondesi on the 10 day injury list. He suffered a partical shoulder dislocation in Tuesday nights game. Humberto Arteaga was recalled from Triple-A Omaha.
