The Emporia Arts Center will be showing off artwork by children at the second annual Shaping the Future a Young Artists’ Exhibition on August 1st.
The exhibition is an art show for kids ages 5-17 to show off what they can do artistically.
EAC’s Gallery Manager and Education Coordinator Kaila Mock talk about what the art show really means for the participants.
Artist can submit their work to the EAC until July 27th and artwork will be posted in the Trusler Gallery on August 1st. The opening reception will be the next day from 4-6 with the reward ceremony at 5.
Artwork will be posted into four categories based on age with cash prizes being given to the first, second, and third place of each category.
