An Emporia man was hurt in a wreck in Butler County early Sunday and declined medical treatment afterward.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Jose Ultreras crashed on the Kansas Turnpike at mile marker 84, or over 40 miles southwest of Emporia and eight miles southwest of the Cassoday exit.
Ultreras was northbound when he crashed around 5:30 am. His pickup left the highway for currently unlisted reasons and rolled in a ditch.
The Highway Patrol says Ultreras suffered suspected serious injuries, but Ultreras decided against a hospital trip. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
