A man who allegedly robbed an Emporia convenience store earlier this year has a preliminary hearing in Lyon County District Court this week.
Harold Stewart faces one count of aggravated robbery for allegedly stealing money and items from the Max’s BP convenience store on Feb. 19. Court documents provided to KVOE News indicate a man later identified as Stewart advised the store clerk he had a gun and demanded money from the register. The clerk complied and the man fled. Shortly before the alleged robbery, Stewart allegedly tried to buy items from the store with a credit card that was declined.
Stewart was arrested May 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A preliminary hearing will start at 10 am Wednesday.
