The Kansas City Chiefs held their first practice of training camp Wednesday.
It was mostly rookies and quarterbacks. Coach Andy Reid called it a good first day.
Travis Kelsey was one of the veterans taking part in the practice.
The two-time All-Pro tight end missed the entire offseason after having surgery to solidify an ankle that had become loose over time.
Kelce said Mahomes is showing a new level of confidence.
The rest of the veterans are scheduled to report Friday.
