The Emporia Police Benefit Association is holding a Disc Golf Scramble event this weekend.
This Saturday morning, the Police Benefit Association will hold a disc golfing fundraiser for special Olympians. The event will begin at 9 am with a free clinic for those who are new to disc golf. Then promptly at 10 am, the “scramble” format tournament will begin.
Local Officer Jaffer Agha speaks more with KVOE about how the Emporia Police Benefit Association chose the scramble format.
Pre-registration is available although, all walk-ups are welcomed. The tournament fee is $35 per player and all proceeds will benefit one of the three special Olympic teams within Lyon County. Officer Agha speaks more about what the Police Benefit Association is aiming to achieve.
