Emergency personnel were called out to mile marker 128.8, roughly 2 miles from the Emporia tollbooth and within an ongoing bridge project work zone at approximately 9 am Saturday. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, a 2011 Harley Davidson ridden by 27-year-old Brandon Schnell of Marysville was traveling northbound in the construction zone when Schnell lost control and struck a construction cone.
