The Kansas City Royals rallied for a 9-6 win over the Cleveland Indians Sunday.
Cleveland grabbed a 3-0 lead in the 1st inning. The Royals scored a run in the 1st and tied the game with 2 runs in the 3rd inning. Cleveland added single runs in the 4th and 5th inning. The Royals would score 5 runs in the 5th .Nicky Lopez drove in two runs with a single.
Jorge Soler added a solo home run in the 6th.
Danny Duffy was the winning pitcher. Ian Kennedy earned his 20th save.
The Royals begin a series with the Toronto Blue Jays tonight in Kansas City. Both teams are 40-67. Brad Keller will be the starting pitcher for the Royals with first pitch set for 7:15. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
