The Emporia Senior American Legion baseball team is preparing for their trip to State.
The Senior Legion takes a 30-1 record into the tournament. Coach Anthony Markowitz says this is a special group of players.
For the Emporia AAA this is their 4 trip to state in the last 5 years. For this group of players it is their 3rd trip to state. They won the A Legion State Championship in 2017 at Hays.
Riley Wagner says it does feel familiar.
Jace Stewart says they cannot take anyone lightly.
The Post 5 Seniors will open tournament play Wednesday afternoon against Great Bend.
The State tournament will be played in Hays.
