The Emporia AAA American Legion baseball team opens State tournament play Wednesday afternoon in Hays.
The Post 5 Seniors will play Great Bend in the first round of pool play with first pitch set for 3:15p.
Beau Baumgardner, who was part of the team that won the A Legion State title in 2017 at Hays, says its good to be going back.

The other first round games have Sabetha playing Norton, Russell faces Iola and Ottawa plays Hays.
The Post 5 seniors do have wins over Iola, Ottawa and Hays during the regular season.
