The fourth convict involved in a kidnapping incident from last fall was sentenced in Lyon County District Court Wednesday morning.
Ivan Murillo was sentenced to 3 years and 9 months in prison on three felony counts including aggravated battery, conspiracy to commit aggravated battery and burglary of a motor vehicle. The charges stem from an incident in September 2018 where a man was locked in a dog cage, threatened with knives, tattooed and had money taken from his bank account during a 24-to-30-hour incident.
The Lyon County Attorney’s Office stated Murillo provided assistance in the investigation including providing information during the initial investigation and testified during the trial. Because of this Murillo was given a plea agreement in the case.
On top of his sentence, Murillo has also been ordered to pay $1,000 restitution. Murillo did offer his apologies to those affected by the incident last fall.
Murillo was one of four people originally charged in connection with the case. Stacy Steen was sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading no contest to aggravated kidnapping. Brandon Villa was sentenced to probation for attempted marijuana distribution after being originally charged with kidnapping. Will Anderson was originally sentenced to over 34 years in prison and was then resentenced Tuesday to just over 32 years.
