After approving the 2020 budget for publication purposes last week, Lyon County commissioners are looking at amending the current-year budget during their weekly action meeting Thursday.
Controller Dan Williams will present an adjustment to the Multi-Year Fund to make sure the county has enough money on hand for its portion of the $1.5 million city-county radio project benefiting law enforcement, first responders and emergency crews. Another adjustment is to the Road and Bridge Fund to cover flood-related repairs to the county’s gravel road network.
Commissioners are currently planning to have a hearing on the 2020 budget Aug. 22 and need to have the budget finalized by Aug. 25.
In other business, commissioners could approve Court Administrator Ruth Wheeler’s request for a capital outlay spending request to upgrade and replace computers, software and a server.
Five executive sessions are planned.
The meeting starts at 8 am in the County Courthouse.
