Two area athletes placed in the top 6 at the AAU Junior Olympic Track and Field meet held in North Carolina.
Competing in the boys 15-16 age division:
Max Blaufuss of Olpe finished in 2nd place in the Javelin with a throw of 172 feet 8 inches.
Casey Helm of Madison finished in 6th place in the Discus with a throw of 153 feet 11 inches. He also finished in 24th place in the shot put.
