Gentry Scheve continued his hot play this summer tying his career low at the Emporia Golf Course to take a 5 stroke lead after the first round of the Emporia Mens City Golf Championship.
Scheve shot a 5 under par 64 in his first round. The 64 equals a round he played in the Kansas Junior Golf Tour Championship. Chad Buchholz shot a 2 under par 69 and is in 2nd place.
Wyatt Redeker is in 1st place in the first flight.
Steve Neill is in first place in the 2nd flight.
Caden Massey has the lead in the 3rd flight.
The Championship and First flight will play their 2nd round at the Emporia Country Club Sunday.
The 2nd and 3rd flight will play their 2nd round at the Emporia Golf Course.
Carol Krueger has the lead in the Womens Championship. She has a 6 stroke lead over Bobbi Sauder and a 7 stroke lead over Nancy Thomas.
