No injuries have been reported following a vehicle fire near Emporia Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews were toned out to a report of a vehicle fire at Road 180 and B, 8 miles northwest of Emporia, shortly after 1:45 pm. According to the Emporia Fire Department once on scene they discovered one vehicle fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters had the fire under control quickly, but the vehicle has been considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
The fire did not occur near any structures according to Lyon County Communications.
