The Kansas City Royals rallied to tie the Boston Red Sox in the seventh inning, Wednesdy night, before rain forced the game to be suspended.
Nicky Lopez drove in Hunter Dozier with an RBI double in the seventh to even the score at 4-4. Rain moved into the area, as the game entered extra innings, and the game was eventually suspended. Kansas City and Boston will look to complete the game on August 22.
The Royals continue their road trip Thursday night, opening a series in Detroit. Jorge Lopez faces off against the Tigers’ Matthew Boyd. Pre-game coverage, on KVOE 1400/96.9 FM, begins around 6pm. First pitch at 6:10PM.
