Cost estimates are pending after a recent incident in the Greenwood County Jail.
The Sheriff’s Office says an “unruly” inmate decided to flood the jail with water by plugging drains and pushing water buttons Aug. 3. An unspecified amount of water then pooled in parts of the jail. The flow also went downstairs into the Sheriff’s Office, causing damage to both floors.
The inmate’s name has not been released. Further details are pending.
