Travelers planning to use Kansas Highway 177 through Strong City on Thursday will need to make other arrangements.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe is working on the crossing in downtown Strong City. Chase County Sheriff Richard Dorneker says the crossing panels are sinking, so the whole crossing has to be replaced.
Work hours are listed as 8 am to 5 pm. Detours are in place around the crossing.
