Denny Hamlin won the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup race at Bristol Saturday night. He took the lead for good with 11 laps to go. It was his 4th win of the year.
Clint Bowyer finished in 7th place but it was not good enough to keep him in the top 16. He slips to 17th in the point standings and playoff standings. He is 2 points out of 16th place.
NASCAR is off next weekend. They will be at Darlington on September 1st.
