It took 12 minutes for the Boston Red Sox to finish off the Kansas City Royals with a 5-4 win in a game that was suspended from August 7th Thursday.
The Royals had a 1-2-3 top of 10th inning.
For the Red Sox it was a strikeout, a double, intentional walk and a RBI single.
The Royals tied the game in the 7th. The game was halted in the 10th due to heavy rain.
The Royals now head to Cleveland for a weekend series.
Last night Baltimore hit 4 home runs to power past the Royals 8-1. Whit Merrifield hit his 15th home run for the lone Royals run.
The Royals are now 45 and 82. 32 games out of first place in the AL Central and 29 games out of the 2nd playoff spot with 35 games to play.
