Emporia Police are reporting a scam involving a call about warrants.
The Police Department says a resident recently was called from somebody allegedly using the City-County phone number. The caller had a foreign accent and said the resident had an arrest warrant on file.
The city and the Police Department will not call you to tell you of any warrants against you. If you need to verify that status, call Police at 343-4225.
