Highway construction is underway in Osage City.
The city is renovating Kansas Highway 31 from the K-170 junction to Fourth Street. The Kansas Department of Transportation is handling the $1.3 million contract awawrded to Smoky Hill LLC of Salina.
Traffic will be re-routed to Lakin Street. Businesses will be open but no truck traffic will be allowed except for deliveries. Work should wrap up before Thanksgiving.
