Flint Hills Beef Fest activities continued Saturday evening with the annual awards banquet.
This year’s banquet was held at White Auditorium and saw hundreds fill the floor to take in some laughter, music and plenty of steak. This year corporate comedian Mark Mayfield took the stage following the annual steak dinner to share some of his famous observational humor.
Along with some charming stories from his childhood in southeast Kansas, Mayfield also shared some entertaining marital mishaps with those in attendance.
Following Mayfield’s 45-minute performance attendees danced the night away with live music performed by local band Brick Horse.
