The Emporia High boys soccer team opened their season with a 9-0 win over St. Marys Academy Friday.
Wilber Landaverde and Elija Williams each scored 4 goals. Hector Hernandez added a single goal.
The Spartans will open play in the Wichita South Titan Classic Monday when they play Circle.
