Trials are set to begin near the end of 2019 for two separate cases after hearings in Lyon County District Court Friday afternoon.
Jury trial in the case of Gustavo Perez-Garcia is set to begin on Nov. 20. Perez-Garcia is one of two people accused of three sets of aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery after alleged armed robberies at Casey’s General Store on South Commercial and Angelina’s Fashion Store in early June.
Additionally, jury trial will also begin on Nov. 20 for Harold Stewart. Stewart faces one count of aggravated robbery for allegedly stealing money from the Max’s BP convenience store on Feb. 19. Court documents provided to KVOE News indicate a man later identified as Stewart advised the store clerk he had a gun and demanded money from the register. The clerk complied and the man fled.
