The Kansas Jayhawks used a late touchdown to defeat Indian State 24-17 in Les Miles first game as head coach for the Jayhawks Saturday.
Cater Stanley threw his 2nd touchdown pass of the game with 2:04 to play to Daylon Charlot (DAY-LUN Charlotte) for the final margin of victory.
Carter Stanley also threw a touchedown pass to James Sosinski.
Hasan Defense returned an intercepition 57 yards to give the Jayhawks an early 7-0 lead.
Indiana State scored 14 unanswered points to take a 17-16 lead.
Coach Les Miles said it was the type of win they needed.
Stanley was 20-29 for 241 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Andrew Parchment had 8 catches for 121 yards.
Kahlil Herbert rushed for 88 yards.
Kansas will host Coastal Carolina next Saturday.
