Road and street improvements will be the major topic for Emporia City Commissioners during their action session Wednesday afternoon.
At the top of the agenda will be the acceptance of the Kansas Department of Transportation’s City Connecting Link Improvement Program. CCLIP is a federal program providing funds to cities which allows them to address any issues or deficiencies with a city connecting link on a state highway.
Commissioners will also consider approving new permanent right of way easements and the adoption of standard traffic ordinances for Kansas cities. A resolution of intent for IRBs with Presbyterian Manor and a request for authorization to issue bonds on South Ave. water projects will also see consideration.
The meeting begins at 1:30 pm inside the municipal courtroom at White Auditorium.
