The Kansas City Royals out scored the Detroit Tigers 5-4 Wednesday night.
The Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the Royals bats came to life.
Ryan McBroom drove in a run and Alex Gordon scored on a wild pitch in the 4th inning. For McBroom it was his first career RBI.
In the 5th Jorge Soler hit solo home run, his 40th home run of the season and Alex Gordon drove in a run with a single to give the Royals a 4-3 lead.
In the 6th inning Adalberto Mondesi drove in a run for a Royals 5-3 lead. Ian Kennedy had a 1-2-3 9th for his 26th save.
The Royals go for the sweep of the Tigers Thursday afternoon. Glenn Sparkman will be on the mound with first pitch set for 12:15p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
