One of two people accused in a string of business burglaries or attempted burglaries this past spring has reached a plea agreement with local prosecutors.
Nicholas Allen Hall pleaded no contest to a single count of burglary in the Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal incident May 16. He also pleaded no contest to theft after TP Jewelry and Pawn was burglarized May 9 and to criminal damage after an incident at Mr. G’s Car Wash on May 10.
Other counts, including conspiracy to commit burglary in the above-mentioned cases and attempted burglary for an alleged incident at Giefer’s Car Wash on May 16, were dropped as part of the plea. Hall could spend nearly four years in prison as a result of the plea.
Co-defendant Lesli Fontenot will have a preliminary hearing Sept. 10 on burglary, conspiracy, attempted burglary and other charges for the TP Jewelry, Kari’s Diamonds and Giefer’s Car Wash incidents.
Sentencing for Hall is taking place Oct. 31.
