Two Osage City residents were taken to Topeka for medical treatment after a crash near the town Friday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the wreck at 229th and Indian Hills Road, a mile northeast of Osage City, happened shortly before 9 am. A pickup driven by 29-year-old Thomas Mitchell was eastbound and did not yield to a northbound truck driven by 48-year-old Robert Noble, Jr. The two vehicles collided and wound up in nearby ditches.
Both men were taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka with suspected minor injuries. Noble was wearing his seatbelt, while there is no indication about Mitchell’s seatbelt status.
