The Lady Hornets were defeated by 223rd ranked Central Washington in 4 sets, 13-25, 25-23, 18-25 and 24-26.
Yuchen Du finished with a double-double of 13 kills and 10 digs. Mikayla Simons added 12 kills.
Emporia State bounced back from their first loss with a 3 set win over Quincy, 25-17, 25-22 and 25-23.
Aliyah Bernard finished with 12 kills. Yuchen Du added 11 kills. Emma Dixon had 30 assists and 11 digs.
The Lady Hornets are 3 and 1 for the season they will be playing in a tournament hosted Colorado Springs next weekend.
