The Emporia State volleyball team is playing in the Mountain Lion Invitational in Colorado Springs.
They opened with a 3 set win over the host team University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. They won 25-17, 25-23 and 25-23. Mikayla Simons led the offense with 11 kills. Allie Christiansen added 10 kills. Emma Dixon had 32 assists. Shelby Innes added 17 digs.
They were defeated by Angelo State in 5 sets. Angelo State won the first two sets 25-10 and 25-17. Emporia State won the 3rd set 25-23 and the 4th set 25-22. Angelo State won the 5th set 15-10.
The Lady Hornets will play Arkansas Fort Smith and Colorado Mines Saturday.
