US Senate candidate Usha Reddi will stop in Emporia this week.
Reddi will make an appearance at the Kansas State Building Trades Meeting at Flint Hills Technical College. Friday’s appearance will be at 10 am.
Reddi is a Manhattan city commissioner and the city’s mayor pro-tem. She is also a math teacher in the Manhattan-Ogden school district.
A Democrat, Reddi is among a crowded field of candidates on both sides of the aisle. Fellow Democrats running for the office are former US Attorney for Kansas Barry Grissom and former Congresswoman Nancy Boyda. Several Republicans are also running, including current Congressman Roger Marshall, former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach and current Senate President Susan Wagle.
