The fifth annual Make a Joyful Noise 5K is gearing up to bless the ears of many runners this weekend.
Many 5K occur in the KVOE listening area every year, but only one has sixteen live music performances along the 3.1 miles of travel. Organizer Melissa Herring on how this event came to be:
The proceeds to this race will go to benefit of three different causes:
- Continued support of the Community Blessing Boxes.
- Emporia Christian School general fund.
- A local Public School in need to be announced on Saturday.
The race will launch at New Life Christian Church. Herring gives the course route.
The race will take place this Saturday launching at 8:30 am. Registration cost is $25 per person. Children five and under are free unless they want a t-shirt, then this cost is $10. Register for the race by clicking here.
