This Saturday, Emporia State University will be holding it’s 7th annual Nitty Gritty Tie Dye run on campus.
The 5k run will take place at the Student Recreation Center, with day-of registration beginning at 9:00 am and the race beginning at 9:30. The Tie Dye run this year has over 70 volunteers waiting to throw color on participants throughout the race.
Tie Die Run organizer Caitlyn Meraz says proceeds will go to three local organizations.
Additional activities Saturday will include Zumba as well as other activities to “get your blood pumping.” Following the run, participants are invited to take part in a “color party.”
The event is $35 for adults and community members and $25 for ESU students and children 17 and under.
