Parents, teachers, and students of Village Elementary came together to race in the Tour de Village on Sunday.
The Tour de Village is a race put on by the Village Elementary Parent Teacher Organization that allows participants to partake in either a bike race or a 5k walk/run.
According to PTO Member Amanda Gutierrez, the event holds an important role in bringing the community to Village.
Proceeds from the event will primarily go towards funding field trips for each class but will also be put towards classroom amenities such as smartboards
Fundraising totals from the event will be announced later.
