Recent repair work on the Olpe tornado siren has come to an end.
Olpe residents may have noticed the siren sounding over the past few days, however, there is no cause for alarm. This was simply a series of tests following recent repairs to address some issues with the siren according to the Lyon County Emergency Communications Center.
The siren is now back up and running according to the communication center’s Facebook page. The center wishes to thank all Olpe residents for their patience during the repair process.
