The Emporia State football team picked up a 50-7 win over Lincoln Saturday.
Clark Schoonover kicked 5 field goals and was 5 for 5 on PATs. The 5 field goals tied the school record for most field goals in a game.
Quarterback Dalton Cowan threw for 331 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Wil Amos had 12 catches for 143 yards and caught his first career touchdown pass.
Dexton Swinehart also caught a touchdown pass. Case Cochran caught his first career touchdown pass.
Carlos Grace added a 1 yard touchdown run and Vinnie Shabazz scored on a 14 yard touchdown run. His first career touchdown run at Emporia State.
The Hornet defense came up with 2 interceptions and a fumble recovery. Coach Garin Higgins said, for the most part, they played the way they needed to.
The Hornets are now 2-2 for the season and will host Northwest Missouri State next Saturday.
