Flint Hills Technical College Culinary Arts students created a farm to table fine dining experience during the Field to Feast showcase on Saturday.
The event showcased the talents of the culinary arts department as they partnered with local farmers to gather locally grown ingredients.
The menu was made in the summer but, According to FHTC Culinary Arts Director Kendra Smith, the ingredients were affected by the weather and caused the menu to undergo changes.
FHTC works diligently to teach its students as much it can. Smith says that even though some of the dishes they learn about they may not use in their careers its still important.
Part of the proceeds from the event went back to the culinary arts department at FHTC.
