Patchy thick fog has developed for some of the KVOE listening area.
Lyon, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties are in a dense fog advisory until 5 am Sunday. Chase County is in a separate advisory until 4 am Sunday.
Visibility in Emporia varied from six blocks to a block as of midnight. Chase County, meanwhile, was reporting visibility under 100 feet in several locations. The National Weather Service says there can be sudden changes in visibility, which could catch drivers off guard.
If you’re driving overnight and pass through fog, slow down, use your low-beam headlights and increase the distance between your vehicle and other drivers. We’ll keep you updated on KVOE and KVOE.com.
