A motorcycle rider was taken to Newman Regional Health for observation and treatment after a crash near the Kansas Turnpike’s Emporia tollgate Sunday night.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 25-year-old David Troyer of Libby, Montana, was leaving the tollgate and preparing to go south on the Turnpike. However, he took a curve too fast, lost control and rolled down an embankment just after 8:30 pm.
Troyer suffered suspected minor injuries afterward. Further details are pending.
