Chances for heavy rainfall in the KVOE listening area continue to increase.
Chase County has now been added to a flash flood watch which originally included Morris and Wabaunsee counties from 7 pm Tuesday to 7 am Wednesday. Current projections have as much as 2-3 inches of rain possible between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Parts of the KVOE listening area, including Emporia, Americus and Reading, reported anywhere from 2-3 inches of rain Friday night through Saturday, so the ground is already saturated in many cases.
Besides the risk of flash flooding, river flooding could also develop anywhere in the watch box.

Heavy rain is an increasing possibility for much of the KVOE listening area this week.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Morris and Wabaunsee counties from 7 pm Tuesday to 7 am Wednesday, based on projections of 2-3 inches of rain Tuesday and Wednesday.
Parts of the KVOE listening area, including Emporia, Americus and Reading, reported anywhere from 2-3 inches of rain Friday night through Saturday, so the ground is already saturated in many cases.
