Brief heavy rainfall was not enough to start any flooding anywhere across the KVOE listening area the past two days.
Emporia’s rainfall amounts varied but were less than an inch both Tuesday and Wednesday:
*KVOE studios: 0.30 inches Wednesday, trace Tuesday
*Emporia Municipal Airport: 0.62 inches Wednesday, 0.65 inches total
*Allen: 0.20 inches Wednesday, 0.40 inches total
*Between Hartford and Olpe: 1.4 inches Wednesday
*Between Madison and Hamilton: 4 inches Wednesday
*Burlington: 2.15 inches Wednesday
*Hartford: 1.9 inches Wednesday
*Olpe: 1 inch Wednesday
*Reading: 0.75 inches Wednesday
Radar estimates in Chase County had up to half an inch of rain Tuesday. As much as two to three inches of rain fell southwest of Eureka on Wednesday.
