Momentum continues for the United Way of the Flint Hills.
The annual Small Business Blitz generated almost $11,000 for the United Way’s annual fundraising drive. Interim Director Hannah Crowl:
The Small Business Blitz follows Newman Regional Health’s pancake feed, which produced over $400, and the Emporia State Music Department’s jazz concert, which brought in over $1,000 last week. Up next is a tip drive at Pizza Ranch hosted by Newman Regional Health from 4:45-7:30 pm Monday.
The drive goal this year is $560,000. Proceeds benefit 23 community partners in an eight-county coverage area serving over 13,000 residents. For more information, call 342-7564 or go online to www.unitedwayoftheflinthills.org.
